With 2012 Fast Approaching....

I find myself reflecting
 on what was the
second most difficult year
of my life.

It was full of sadness, emptiness, trials, tribulations, worries and a few wonders - each of which left me older, wiser and more aware of how precious every moment of every day is.

It is with this knowledge that I am going to rush forth into the New Year with a fresh perspective on life - no longer dwelling on what could be, what should be, or what isn't.

Instead, I'm going to
take a deep breath,
close my eyes,  and
run directly into the wind.

I may or may not go it alone.
Bring it on 2012.  I'm ready.

Looking out the window.....

...waiting for some snow.  None is in the forecast yet - but I'm still waiting!

Regarding my little Christmas giveaway,
I put all the entries in a hat and
DOTTIE is the winner!

Dottie, please e-mail me your address and I will get your inspirational surprise right out.  I will be here, waiting for your address!

In the meantime, I will be sifting and sorting and re-organizing my studio and my life.  Something  that I just "do"  -  this time of year.

I will also be cleaning up my blog as I plan on taking it in a bit of a new direction this next year.   Some new things on the horizon that I am kind of excited about.  It's been a while since I've been excited about anything.

Merry Christmas
 and Happy New Year!!!

New Nook Covers and Kindle Covers added to Etsy Just in Time for Christmas!!

Just listed some of my new Kindle, Nook and IPAD covers on my ETSY.

Made from beautiful batik fabrics and embellished with natural elements and metals, I think these are some of my nicest covers yet.

Holiday sewing has kept me pretty busy the last few months.  I am still working on some last minute gifts for family and can't believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!!
