Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on
You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on.........
I've posted my "July" progress. Only 2.5 pounds again this month. But I'm not discouraged. Like a beautiful slow cloth full of texture and unknown journey, such is my life. There are times when I press on pleased with my progression and the beauty of the path -- and there are others when I stop and wonder how and why I got to the point I find myself .
Pertaining to THIS particular journey -- I've been keeping a strict diary, and in my review of it over the last few days I can clearly see where I am faultering. I'm doing exactly what I set out to do by virtue of eating, exercising, etc. -- however I have not been 100% committed - 100% of the time. The first month - I was 100% committed -- 100% of the time and hence the 9 pound weightloss. But with that success came a false confidence, and although I proceed on a forward path, I should be getting more out of this than I am.
So - what to do from here. I've evaluated what I believe I am doing right and what I believe I am doing wrong. Accordingly, I am making the following adjustments for this month:
Reduce carolic intake by 200 calories per day
Re-balance protein to carb ratio by 40/30 instead of the other way around
Do 2 more hours of "aerobic" exercise per week (by adding on at least 10 more minutes per day)
Increase weight training to include kettle ball workout 2x per week
Drink more water
At the end of the month I will re-evaluate my progress.
(Sometimes you hear songs, but you don't "listen."
This one is woth "listening" to. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Jan! Blue nine patch coming along quite nicely. I just picked up a few more gorgeous blue/green/turqoise homespuns. They're hard to find so I snatched 'em up for variety. Can't wait to get this pieced so I can quilt it on my frame. Should be a blast!
