Spent a glorious day meandering through
the Farmer's Market.
Autumn is the BEST
time at our Market here in NC.
I've never seen it so vibrant
and exciting. And we've been
coming here for a long, long time.
Sights and smells of Autumn were everywhere.
We bought bags and bags of produce
and fresh German pastries.
.
,
And an entire truck bed filled with cornstalks and pumpkins,
all which have
now been lovingly
placed around the compound
for the enjoyment
of passersby and the animals
that frequent here.
It's been a busy week here at the homestead.
Lots of planting, lots of power washing,
lots of primping.
And the finishing touch - 200 bales of fresh long leaf pine needles put down and hundreds and hundreds of yards of dark brown mulch laid.
The Recca compound is now ready for fall.
And it has never looked better.
Work's done. Weekend's here.
C'mon guys - lets go play!
