In the soft fur of grizzlies....
In the rough bark of the trees....
In the random puffy display of the clouds
In the colorful organisms growing on volcanic rocks
and my favorite..... the dancing of the light refraction and ripples of the water in Glacier Lake pools.
Texture and Patterns are everywhere. Why am I just begining to really (really) notice these things? Oh what have I missed.
(Montana/Idaho/Wyoming/Utah 2010 trip)
They are all wonderful photos of textures but I like the last one best too!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos... love them! Patterns everywhere! Quilt in it?? :-) (not got round to rummaging yet.. sorry... will do my best soon)
ReplyDeleteWondering how old you are, Cathy. My husband and I began noticing these things in nature about 10 years ago (I was 48). I think as we get older we do slow down a little. O, we are still busy, but not so busy not to notice more of what is in the world around us and the wonders of nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. The glacier lake pools is my fave. The more you look closely, the more you see. Looking forward to starting that texture journal?
ReplyDelete~Smiling...right there with Carol's comment!
ReplyDeleteI think the older we get the more our eyes and heart see!!! And, you do slow down with age...you begin to see and take in even more. The big things, the little things, life, nature and our days become so precious!
So here's to our age, slowing down a bit and *seeing* the beauty that is really around us! XOX
