...to see what damage we sustained. We were hoping to leave around 5 am this morning, however we were told that the roads are not opened yet.
Last week - THIS is what we were doing |
At this point, we don't have any idea what the damage to our marina and neighborhood is. All we've heard is that there was serious flooding in the area. Whether that was in Pirate's Cove or not - we do not yet know.
For the moment - we are on standby - waiting to head over.

Hugs and best wishes. I hope you find things better than expected.
Good Luck Cathie.
I was thinking of you and my other blog friends up and down the coast yesterday. Hopefully when you finally get there, it won't be as bad as you worried it would be.
xx, Carol
Hi Cathie, just checking in to see that you're ok. Sounds like you are, which is awesome. As far as your home goes I hope you find everything as close as possible to how you left it. I'm thinking good thoughts over here in Ontario (where we're experiencing only a bit of Irene's wind) and sending them your way. Take care, okay?
Michele
Fingers crossed and prayers coming your way for hope that nothing too bad has happened to your home area. What a scary thing. Glad YOU are safe!!!
Ditto what Lynn said. Hope you can get there soon.
hope all is well and no damage occured. you mean New Yorkers arent more interesting/important/newsworthy etc than Carolinians? Hmm.
I surely hope all is well at your place. I noticed that there wasn't a lot of coverage of that area. Must not have been as bad as they thought. I hope so.
Ditto, what they all said.
Fingers crossed - for you and your neighbours, Cathie. x
