Starting on the design process for Sabrina's "away to college" quilt. It needs to be very special.

I've been sketching ideas and saving clippings of ideas from books and magazines for over a year. I really need to start solidifying my ideas and put them down on paper. Bittersweet.

...one of my favorite small thread paintings. Measuring about 10x4.5, this was sketched out using a photograph I took out west on to fabric (cotton duck) and loosely thread painted. I sent this off to a friend in Ohio as part of my participation in the Girlfriend's Sketchbook project.
