                                                                                                                                                         I've been working on these birds for a while now and I've got this guy almost finished.  All there is left to do is a dd a few more stitches and attach the string of beads I made for the hanger.

I don't know what the deal is - but I just can't manage to "sit still" long enough to do anything productive.  I've been working on these dang birdies forever it seems.  They were supposed to be done two weeks ago and I'm still sewing on wings!  I did have to re-do them because I did not stuff them firm enough.  Really firm stuffing makes all the difference in the quality. THESE BIRDIES ARE FIRM!!

I AM  going to give one away - I haven't forgotten.  I just need to finish it first.  And because of the delay, I'm gonna add a few goodies to the prize!  Giveaway will be posted Saturday night.

Besides that, life is - well, continuing.  I'm finding myself in one of those "valleys" right now. Just gonna leave it at that.  Hope you're enjoying "peaks" and that YOUR muse is singing!

I "Heart" My Bike......

My bike and I have had a rocky relationship this past  year.  It was love at first sight.  I'm not sure what happened between us.  We get together... we break up.  We try it again - and something happens and we split up again. It's been rough.

But I'm happy to say - we've found eachother again - and so far.... so good.   Our first four miles today were beautiful.  Just my bike.... me..... and the hills.  It was wonderful.  Like our first time.

Can we try again?   I think this time I'm ready to go the distance with you, bicycle.  Do you feel the same???

Birdie Carnage.....

Still stitching up birdies.  I know I said Tuesday - but I'm still working on stitching, beading, embellishing.  I want them all to be done (all 7)  before I have my little giveaway.

  Got a wee bit side-tracked with a birthday for our girl today (Sabrina turned 15)  and my son's heading off to the coast to go to college and loading up the moving van today. Sheesh!  Should be ready by the weekend - so keep watch for the birdie giveaway, K?
